On June 30, 2013 the State of Michigan passed a law that requires all youth organizations to educate both coaches and participants the dangers of concussions while engaging in physical activities.  The Chesterfield Township Parks & Recreation Department now requires all coaches (Head and Assistants) to complete an online education training program, as well as all parents and participants to read and sign a concussion information form.  All these forms will be complied by our staff and kept until the participant is out of our program or has turned 18 years old.  The links below will help both coaches and parents become more familiar with the new concussion law.
