PUBLIC HEARING FOR DRAFT RECREATION MASTER PLAN

 

A public hearing is scheduled for December 20, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chesterfield Township Hall for the purpose of receiving comments on the draft 2023-2027 Recreation Master Plan prior to its consideration and adoption by the Township Board.

 

A complete draft of the 2023-2027 Township Recreation Master Plan is available for public review and comment from November 20, 2022 – December 20, 2022.  Copies of the draft can be viewed at the Chesterfield Township Hall during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m.) or online by following the link at Chesterfield Township Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services.

Written comments will be accepted at the Township Hall, 47275 Sugarbush Road, Chesterfield, MI 48047. Oral comments will be heard during the meeting.  For additional information, contact the Township at 586-949-0400 ext. 4.

Recreation services for all ages are combined under one umbrella with one common goal of providing more efficient services to the community we serve. Parks, Recreation, and Seniors are three separate operations, however we use shared resources to bring Chesterfield Township exceptional activities, programs, and places to play! Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services are designed to provide the physical, mental, cultural, and social needs of residents and guests. It is our goal to provide a multitude of activities that are affordable, stimulating and comprehensive, and that enhance the quality of life through recreation, enrichment, fitness, athletics, cultural arts, conservation, preservation, and general open space use. It is our mission to accomplish this in a safe, enjoyable, and aesthetically enriching environment for all ages with outstanding service.
